About Us

Family Health Library was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  FHL was formed because of the personal experiences of its founders.  In one case there was a  need to gather records for an elderly family member who was having major surgery.  In the other case, there was a need to obtain hospital records to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a serous illness.  No online service came close to meeting those needs.
